Tuesday’s storms that swept across the Midwest and Ohio Valley resulted in the detection of at least two sizable tornadoes in Michigan and another in Indiana.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is advising everyone in the area of Portage, Michigan, to take cover as an “extremely dangerous tornado” was moving east at 35 mph just after 6 p.m.
“You are in a life-threatening situation,” the NWS said in a forecast outlook. “Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter.”
There was probably going to be significant damage to houses, businesses, and cars, the agency said.
