George Mason Disastrously Changes Their Logo, Gets Roasted By The Public As They Should

As a Virginia native, I’m incredibly disappointed in this move by George Mason.

The university unveiled Thursday a redesign of its logo, completing its three-year-long rebranding.

The logo, which has a look so simple that it’s ugly, will be the new image for both the college and its athletics program. It apparently “asserts George Mason’s emerging identity as a national top 50 public university and Virginia’s top-ranked university for innovation and upward mobility, as well as the commonwealth’s largest, most innovative, and most diverse university,” according to a news release from the school. The release says that the “GM” brand will separate the university as the globe’s only college to use those particular initials in a logo … cool? It’s also meant to recognize “that the broader community…
