White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is holding a press briefing after President Donald Trump announced plans to acquire the Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday night, in a press conference beside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump made the shock proposal to acquire the Gaza Strip with Israel’s support. He remained vague on the details, saying, “We’ll do what is necessary” to develop the land.
The plan was met with outrage from Democrats and puzzlement from Republicans. Several Arab states came out against the plan.
