‘Uncut Gems’ Cinematography Inspired ‘Inside Out 2’ Anxiety

Pixar animators made a huge bet with Inside Out 2, at least that’s what they’ve told themselves to get into the headspace of the gambling-addicted gems dealer Howard Ratner in Uncut Gems. In an interview with Animation Magazine, director of layout photography Adam Habib explained how the A24 film’s shaky cinematography inspired its newest emotion, Anxiety (played by Maya Hawke).
