Tudor Dixon considering 2026 Michigan run for Senate or governor

Tudor Dixon is looking to get back in the political ring after an unsuccessful gubernatorial run in 2022.

In a Tuesday statement on X, Dixon expressed her interest in both the 2026 Senate and gubernatorial races, saying both contests “present unique opportunities and different ways to benefit Michigan.”

“In the coming weeks, I will continue to reach out to those in our state who can help turn it around and discuss our future and what it can be,” the Republican said.

“I will decide soon where my experience and talents would most benefit the state we love so dearly,” she added.

Dixon, a first-time political candidate in 2022, pulled off an impressive primary win in a five-candidate field but suffered one of the worst losses in the particularly poor Republican showing in 2022, losing to incumbent Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) 44%-54%. Her loss was largely credited…
