Former President Donald Trump dropped another hint at who his running mate may be after meeting with Republican lawmakers in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.
For months, the former president has been teasing who his running mate will be. Trump, speaking with Fox News’s Aishah Hasnie on Thursday, suggested that his pick for vice president was most likely in the room during his meeting with GOP lawmakers from both chambers of Congress.
“Probably … I think we will probably announce it during the convention,” Trump said.
When asked by Hasnie if he knew who his running mate would be, Trump said he had a “pretty good idea.”
“I have sort of a pretty good idea,” Trump said. “Look, we have some really talented people. I have a pretty good idea.”
