President-elect Trump has continued the process of naming nominees for his incoming administration through the holiday weekend, with a somewhat surprising pick dropping on Saturday afternoon.
Trump shared his nomination for U.S. Ambassador to France in a post on his Truth Social account. He wrote:
I am pleased to nominate Charles Kushner, of New Jersey, to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to France.
