The Trump administration has dealt a significant blow to gender ideology within the federal government, with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issuing a memorandum that, among other requirements, apparently instructs all federal employees to remove their pronouns from email signatures.
Letters to multiple federal agencies, seemingly issued in response to the OPM memo, require employees to remove labels like “he/him,” “she/her,” and nonsense “pronouns” like “xe/xir” — all of which are a signal of featly to the ideology and suggest that there could be more than two sexes — by 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 31. But while those instructions a positive, outward-facing step in the right direction, the OPM memo goes further.
