President-elect Donald Trump endorsed Speaker of the House Mike Johnson for another term ahead of House Republicans’ vote for their next leader on Friday.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised the Republican party for their massive wins in November and said Republicans need to stay united and not “blow” the “great opportunity” the GOP has been given. Trump said Johnson is a “good, hard working, religious man” and will “do the right thing” before saying Johnson has his “Complete & Total Endorsement.”
“The American people need IMMEDIATE relief from all of the destructive policies of the last Administration. Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man.
