There’s been plenty of back and forth between Donald Trump and the state of Maine over the divisive men in women’s sports issue, with tensions boiling over at a February dinner for governors where Democrat Gov. Janet Mills and Donald Trump had a harsh exchange. As RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported, the president said, “Is Maine here? The governor of Maine?” Trump said before locating Mills seated nearby at a table in the White House State Dining Room. “Are you not going to comply with it [his women in sports executive order]?”
Mills replied, “I’m going to comply with state and federal law.” It went downhill from there, with Mills threatening, “We’ll see you in court.”
