President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday that Bo Hines, a former college football player who twice ran for a North Carolina House seat, will be the executive director of his newly created Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets, or “crypto council.”
Trump announced the selection in a statement posted on Truth Social.
“Bo Hines will be the Executive Director of the Presidential Council of Advisers for Digital Assets (the ‘Crypto Council’), a new advisory group composed of luminaries from the Crypto industry, and chaired by our Crypto Czar, David Sacks. Bo is a graduate of Yale University, and Wake Forest University Law School,” he said.
In the role, Hines will “work with David [Sacks] to foster innovation and growth in the digital assets space, while ensuring industry leaders have the resources they need to succeed.”
