A new Batman is set to hit the block next month with Robert Pattinson under the mask and Matt Reeves directing. The trailers promise a noir detective approach, not an origin story but still very much rooted in Bruce Wayne’s tortured psyche. In other words, 2022’s The Batman will be nothing like the most recent solo Batman film: The Lego Batman Movie.
