U.S. stock futures advanced, suggesting major indexes will post gains at the opening bell after having reached their longest weekly losing streak in decades.
Futures on the S&P 500 rose 1.2% and futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average strengthened 1.1%. Changes in equity futures don’t necessarily predict moves after the opening bell.
European stocks advanced Monday for a two-session winning streak. The Stoxx Europe 600 gained 1.2% in morning trade with the industrials and financials sectors leading gains.
