During a hearing of the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) pointed out that files pertaining to former President John F. Kennedy’s assassination “show no evidence of a CIA conspiracy,” and said they should be focusing on Signal-Gate.
Crockett criticized Republicans at the hearing for trying to re-litigate whether agents from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) “lied 60 years ago,” and pointed out that they “should be having a hearing on the fact” that several Trump administration officials such as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance, were discussing military strikes against the Houthis, in a Signal group chat.
