The “Insidious Live Show” shut down following terrible reviews of their January tour stop in Detroit.
Hundreds of people flooded social media with complaints, saying the popular immersive horror show at Detroit’s Fisher Theatre did not end up being the experience that was advertised. Detroit was only the fourth stop of the tour, but the negative reviews from ticket holders forced the cancelation of the remaining 66 stops.
Paying customers expressed feeling disappointed and confused by what they saw after the show’s website promised “a live, in-seat immersive experience that plunges audiences into the terrifying world of the Insidious film franchise.”
“It was promoted to be ‘edge of your seat,’ but people were actually leaving their seats,” Mark Ramos told Click On Detroit.
