Police Tell Woman Husband Died In Hit And Run Crash — Later Learns He’s Actually Alive, Recovering In Hospital

Las Vegas police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in September that left a victim fighting for his life after an error by the Clark County Coroner’s Office erroneously reported him as dead.

The incident occurred on September 15, 2024, when a driver struck 37-year-old Brandon Green while crossing the street, according to a press release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). The perpetrator fled the scene, leaving Green critically injured.

The victim was rushed to University Medical Center for Treatment, the LVMPD reported. The department updated the press release two days later, stating that the Clark County Coroner’s Office had informed them that Green had succumbed to his injuries.
