Marta scored on a second-half penalty kick for the Orlando Pride, who didn’t flinch despite playing the second half a player down and beat the host Kansas City Current 2-1 on Saturday in a matchup of unbeaten teams.

The Pride improved to 11-0-5, including 5-0-3 in road matches. Kansas City dropped to 10-1-5.

Barbra Banda had the first Orlando goal in the 37th minute. Banda has 12 goals in 12 matches this season, including at least one in three straight matches. Marta posted her fifth goal of the season.

A bad foul on Kansas City goalie Adrianna Franch in the penalty area allowed for Marta’s penalty kick in the 63rd minute.
