President Donald Trump has run into some headwinds in his push to trim the fat of government spending. A US district judge in Massachusetts postponed the deadline for federal employees to accept Trump’s buyout offer from Thursday, February 6, to Monday, February 10. Monday brings a hearing during which Judge George O’Toole Jr. plans to determine whether the Trump administration will be allowed to continue to pay government workers to quit their jobs. In the meantime, tens of thousands have already accepted the offer – and many more are expected to follow suit now that the deadline has been extended.
