BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Nearly two months since Helene hit, hundreds of local families are left with nowhere to go.
Now some of these children are living in tents and cars as their parents try desperately to find a new home.
One of those parents is Dana Wunsch.
She showed News 13 the camper where she and her partner, along with her two daughters, are now staying.
Wunsch said that without supportive relatives and money raised on GoFundMe, they would have nowhere to go.

“I really don’t know, probably sleeping in a tent like some of these other families are doing,” said Wunsch.
Right now, the camper is parked at a friend’s property and they are making do, but it’s not easy.
