UPDATE (2/4): Former President Donald Trump issued a statement Friday night responding to Former Vice President Mike Pence’s speech earlier that evening in which he asserted he had “no right” to stop the certification of the 2020 election results on Jan. 6, 2021.
Calling Pence “an automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell to get Biden elected President,” Trump claims that “Democrats and RINOs are working feverishly together to change the very law that Mike Pence and his unwitting advisors used on January 6,” referring to a recent bipartisan push to revise the process of counting Electoral College votes.
