McClain won decisively over Republican Florida Rep. Kat Cammack, securing a 146-67-1 vote, with a single ballot cast for Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Politico reported, citing sources close to the vote. Elected to Congress in 2020, McClain has actively campaigned alongside GOP leaders this year.
