Lowe’s Home Improvement, an iconic American company, hopes to hand out 3,000 free meals to families for Thanksgiving at six of their locations in North Carolina.
The home improvement company hired local restaurants to prepare these meals for the needy, WSOC-TV reported Tuesday.
Lowe’s selected local restaurants that were recovering from Hurricane Helene.
“This is huge,” Brian Stouz with Zella’s Deli & Restaurant told the outlet.
“The economic strain has come from the storm where we were telling people to not come to Asheville or the whole area during the biggest time of the year,” he added. (RELATED: Thanksgiving Food Costs Still Gobble Up More Of Americans’ Paychecks Than Any Time Under Trump)
