Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna assured that he has “all the confidence in the world” that looters taking advantage of the aftermath of the county’s wildfires will face justice, of which over a dozen have been arrested on robbery charges.
Luna detailed that 39 arrests have been made in the last week, with several arrests being due to people “unfortunately” breaking the county’s curfew. Currently, 14 have been arrested on robbery charges, including nine who have been charged with looting and three who are accused of stealing over $200,000 worth of valuables from a home.
