Keith Urban is a “very proud” father after watching his 16-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, make her runway debut during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, Oct, 1.
“Hopefully we can just help her keep balance with everything through all of that,” the “Somebody Like You” singer, 56, tells PEOPLE on Thursday, Oct. 3 ahead of his Las Vegas residency.
As the daughter of the country music superstar and actress Nicole Kidman, 57, this could very well be the first of many runway struts. But, Urban still wants to be protective of his daughter.
“Hopefully she’ll benefit by having two parents that know about a certain amount of celebrity,” he says, believing it can be a “different challenge” for many parents when their children achieve notoriety at a young age.
