Katy Perry is breaking down the meaning of her latest music video.
The pop star, 39, gave her fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the video for “Woman’s World” — which premiered on Thursday, July 11 — in a new reel posted on Instagram on Saturday, July 13.
While wearing a Rosie the Riveter-inspired red scarf in her hair, an orange construction worker-inspired crop top and denim shorts with a tool belt, Perry explained the meaning of the project while surrounded by her dancers in similar outfits.
She began by playfully saying female empowerment phrases to the camera in character, including “Girlboss s—,” “You go girl!” and “You were born to shine!” before explaining the scene she was filming at the time.
