Israel Rushes To Evacuate Hundreds Of People After Antisemitic Attack In Amsterdam

The Israeli government rushed to evacuate hundreds of people on Friday after a swath of antisemitic riots in Amsterdam, according to multiple reports.

A number of Israelis were in Amsterdam to attend a soccer game, but the night quickly turned violent as rioters physically assaulted individuals in what Dutch police described as an antisemitic attack, according to reports. Israel sent two commercial planes to the country on Friday to collect hundreds of Israelis in a bid to get them out of the country. “This is a terrible moment for our city. … I am very ashamed of the behavior that was shown last night,” Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema said of the incident, according to CNN.
