Post-Barbie, it’s hard to make comparisons of future Ryan Gosling movie opening weekends. It was the highest opening of last year. Maybe there should’ve been a Challengers–Fall Guy double feature that could’ve been arranged. As of Saturday afternoon, The Fall Guy has earned $10 million from Friday and Thursday night previews and is estimated to earn $28 million throughout the weekend, contradicting previous projections for somewhere in the $30 million range— the film’s budget is around $150 million for what its worth.
