FBI Does Another 180, Claims New Orleans Attacker Worked Alone Day After Conducting Manhunt For Accomplices

The FBI said Thursday the suspect in New Orleans’ terrorist attack on New Year’s Day acted alone despite previous reports of potential accomplices.

Officials identified Shamsud-Din Jabbar as the driver of a Ford pickup truck that plowed through a Bourbon Street crowd early Wednesday morning. Police killed Jabbar, who reportedly possessed an ISIS flag in the vehicle, in a shootout shortly thereafter.

“We do not asses, at this point, that anyone else is involved in this attack except for Shamsud-Din Jabbar,” FBI Counterterrorism Division Deputy Assistant Director Christopher Raia said in a press conference.
