New York Mayor Eric Adams speculated that the indictment he is facing stems from a variety of factors, telling Dr. Phil that “the tip” is that he was “extremely” vocal about immigration affecting his city.
Adams sat down with the talk show host for an “unfiltered” discussion at Gracie Mansion in New York, and the mayor’s indictment was one of several topics they discussed. A grand jury indicted him in September on five counts, ranging from bribery to solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national, though he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The mayor attributed his indictment to “a combination of things.”
