Dems Cannot Undercut U.S. Israel Support

WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader John Thune will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday at the U.S. Capitol, Thune told Breitbart News on Wednesday, a meeting in which Thune hopes to convey the importance of U.S.-Israel ties to deepen peace talks in the region.

Thune, in an interview on Wednesday, said ahead of the meeting that he will convey to Netanyahu that despite Democrats in Congress, including particularly in the U.S. Senate, repeatedly finding themselves on the opposite side of Israel that the United States stands firmly with Israel. Democrats, of course, recently voted in the U.S. Senate to tank a plan to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC).

“Israel is the U.S.’s greatest ally in the Middle East and the Democrats this last year have been very divided in supporting Israel throughout the conflict,” Thune told Breitbart News….
