The Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa was put in handcuffs while protesting the influx of illegal immigrants that have arrived in New York City.
Sunday’s protest was outside Mayor Eric Adams’s residence at Gracie Mansion.

The demonstration began in the name of criticizing the mayor over the so-called “tent cities” for incoming immigrants. Adams’s policy has also recently transformed a former Staten Island nursing home into a shelter for them. Flyers for the protest read: “Occupy Gracie Mansion,” “no tent cities,” “no illegal immigrants,” “no ‘do as I say not as I do’ from Eric Adams,” and “let the one term mayor hear your voices.”
