The Republican National Committee lost a Pennsylvania election case ruling at the United States Supreme Court Friday evening. The after-hours order from the nation’s highest court in Republican National Committee v. Faith Genser concerns whether Keystone State voters who submit a deficient mail-in ballot may then cast a provisional ballot by right. A recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court order mandated the counting of such provisional ballots, and the RNC asked the US Supreme Court to order the practice to stop – or, in lieu of banning it, to segregate those ballots for later determination.
