Bragg asks judge to keep Trump hush money case intact

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg asked a judge to reject President-elect Donald Trump’s request for his hush money conviction be tossed out, according to a court filing made public on Tuesday.

Prosecutors for Bragg wrote in the lengthy filing that they opposed Trump’s request, that the verdict in the case should stand, and that Trump should be sentenced after a jury found him guilty this year of falsifying business records.

“The extreme remedy of dismissing the indictment and vacating the jury verdict is not warranted in light of multiple alternative accommodations that would fully address the concerns raised by presidential immunity,” prosecutors wrote.
