Black Artist Muni Long Goes On Racist Rant, Refuses To Write Music For White Artists

Singer and songwriter Muni Long shared a video clip on Instagram declaring her refusal to empower “non-melanated” artists with her lyrics.

The 36-year-old, whose real name is Priscilla Renea Hamilton, claimed that a high-ranking executive at Atlantic Records requested that she write soul music for non-Black artists, and she made it abundantly clear that she refused to do so. The idea of contributing to white artists seemed to set her off.

“Me to the president of Atlantic asking me to write ‘soulful’ songs for non-melanated artists,” the Grammy-winning star wrote on the video.

“Fuck no! And imma stand on that!” she shouted during the racist rant.

She continued her passionate refusal to create anything that would be used by white artists.

“And they can get in my DM, all you want, every day!” she continued.
