President Joe Biden shared that his first great grandchild was born Wednesday while being briefed on the wildfires raging just miles from him in Los Angeles, California.
Biden touched down Monday in L.A. as he was scheduled to travel to the Coachella Valley and designate two new national monuments. The president’s plans were cancelled due to intensifying winds and wildfires that broke out in the area. The 82-year-old stayed in town and was briefed by officials at Santa Monica Fire Station where he revealed at the end of the somber conference that his granddaughter, Naomi Biden, had given birth.
