Jeff Bezos’s Amazon is giving President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration fund $1 million, according to multiple reports.
Amazon is following in the footsteps of tech companies such as Meta, which also recently donated the same amount to Trump.
The company will also reportedly stream the inauguration on its Prime Video platform, a service donation valued at $1 million.
Bezos has struck a friendlier tone with Trump this election cycle than in the past. He praised the president-elect after the July assassination attempt against him, saying, “Our former President showed tremendous grace and courage under literal fire tonight.”
Bezos’s reaction was similar to Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, who also owns a company that donated $1 million to his inauguration fund. Zuckerberg said Trump’s reaction to being shot was “badass.”
