Avril Lavigne is hitting the Vans Warped Tour for the first time ever. The singer will make her festival debut at the Washington D.C. stop in June.
“This summer I’ll be on the second round of my Greatest Hits Tour, so it worked out perfectly to hit up the Warped Tour in Washington D.C.,” Lavigne said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “So many of the bands I grew up listening to got their start playing this legendary tour and many of my friends are nostalgic for those parking lot summers, so I’m excited to be a part of this new rendition,” she added.
Lavigne will join 3OH!3, Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, among other already-announced artists playing the D.C. stop.
