Arizona State Basketball Kicks Top Scorer BJ Freeman Off Team After Several Ejections, Ridiculously Headbutting Player

The dude deserved it, plain and simple.

It’s been a bad season for the Arizona State men’s basketball program, and things just got a lot worse as they have been forced to kick their top scorer, BJ Freeman, off the team. The school announced the decision Sunday after several on-court incidents involving Freeman. Starting his college basketball career at UW-Milwaukee, Freeman averaged 13.7 points per game for the Sun Devils in the 2024-2025 season. The numbers are stellar for a college kid. However, his performance has been completely overshadowed by his antics.

During a Jan. 4 home game for Arizona State against Colorado, Freeman was ejected from the contest after being given a Flagrant 2 foul due to seemingly knocking a Buffaloes player in the groin area.
