American Airlines briefly grounded all their flights Tuesday due to “a technical issue” on Christmas Eve.
“We’re currently experiencing a technical issue with all American Airlines flights. Your safety is our utmost priority, once this is rectified, we’ll have you safely on your way to your destination,” the airlines wrote on social media in response to a customer complaint.

“An estimated timeframe has not been provided, but they’re trying to fix it in the shortest possible time,” the company said when prodded by the customer on how long the delay in normal operations would be.
