A Seismic Political Shift in Pennsylvania

Party affiliation ain’t what it used to be.

The Democratic Party and its apparent journey to the outer limits of Americans’ concerns appear to be pushing voters away, most recently in Pennsylvania, the battleground state carrying the most electoral votes and probably the most members of Harris’ campaign staff. More than 50,000 Pennsylvanians, once registered as Democrats, have changed their affiliation this cycle, double the number who left the GOP. This isn’t the first time registered Democrats have bailed on Team Blue, but it comes during a crucial time for the country and its presidential race. Is red the new black, or is the Democratic Party alienating Americans? Perhaps this is the beginning of a new era.
