Trump-appointed Judge Mark C. Scarsi ripped into President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter Biden on Tuesday in a filing, saying that while the president has broad authority, he cannot “rewrite history.”
Biden released a statement Sunday evening announcing his pardon of Hunter Biden’s cases, claiming that any “reasonable” person reviewing the facts in the case would conclude that his son was being targeted because of his connection to the president. In a filing on Tuesday evening, Scarsi, who presided over Hunter’s federal tax case in California, criticized the president for misrepresenting the facts in his statement. “According to the President, ‘[n]o reasonable person who looks at the facts of [Mr. Biden’s] cases can reach any other conclusion…
