‘A Blizzard Of Action’: Brit Hume Compares Trump’s Strategy To Reagan’s Historic Standoff

Veteran political analyst Brit Hume appeared Monday on Fox News and described parallels between President Donald Trump’s  policy maneuvers and former President Ronald Reagan’s confrontation with air traffic controllers in the early 1980s.

Over four decades ago, Reagan dismissed more than 11,000 air traffic controllers who were on strike. During an appearance on “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Hume commented on what he said was the aggressive — yet effective — leadership style shared by both presidents.

“There was a lot of hand-wringing when Reagan did that. I’ll never forget it. And it turned out to be quite popular, and it turned out also to be effective. What we see this president doing now is a blizzard of action.”

Hume said what Trump did was “real action.”
