Plaxico Burress, a former wide receiver for the New York Giants, has landed $280,600 after auctioning off his Super Bowl XLII ring. It was announced by Heritage Auctions that Burress’ ring sold for $280K over the weekend.

The ring of Burress has a ton of historical value considering he was the one who made the game-winning touchdown catch in the G-Men‘s victory against the New England Patriots. New York’s championship win nixed the Pats’ attempt at achieving an undefeated season, which would have seen them accomplish the first 19-0 record in the history of the NFL.
