2025 NBA Power Rankings: Lakers move into top-five after stellar trade deadline

Post-trade deadline, all eyes are on the Los Angeles Lakers

Not only have they won 12 of their last 14 games, climbing to fourth place in the Western Conference, but they added one of the top-three players in the league in Luka Doncic to their roster.

Doncic had his Lakers debut on Monday, finishing with 14 points on 5-for-14 shooting from the field, including going 1-for-7 from beyond the arc in 24 minutes in the Lakers’ 132-113 win over the Utah Jazz. Doncic, who hadn’t played since Christmas because of a left calf strain, was clearly shaking off some rust, but there were glimmers of what this team could become when he hits his stride.
