CNN committed a howler in its Friday night live broadcast in which it referred to Osama bin Laden as Obama bin Laden, drawing criticism on social media.
A graphic on “CNN News Central” read in part, “OBAMA BIN LADEN ASSOCIATE: ABU ZUBAYDAH,” videos of the news segment circulating on social media show. The graphic appeared as anchor Boris Sanchez spoke of interrogation techniques used on Al-Qaeda terrorist Abu Zubaydah in Guantanamo Bay, where Zubaydah is still held and President Donald Trump instructed Jan. 28 that illegal immigrants in the U.S. found guilty of egregious crimes will be imprisoned.
