Indianapolis police arrested a man Sunday and charged him with attempted murder for allegedly shooting his estranged wife and killing her unborn baby — after the woman had reportedly lost several pregnancies.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) arrested Jeremy McBride, 36, after responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 6:00 p.m., according to an IMPD statement. They found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence, police said. Emergency personnel transported her to a local hospital, where the unborn child was declared dead. Authorities expect the woman to live.
