China announced on Wednesday that it was blacklisting four U.S. companies over their involvement with military sales to Taiwan, according to Reuters.
China’s commerce ministry announced Wednesday that it had added four companies to its so-called “Unreliable Entity List,” Reuters reported Wednesday. The companies added to the list include Pacific Rim Defense, AEVEX Aerospace, LKD Aerospace and Summit Technologies Inc, according to the Global Times.
The announcement comes after the U.S. approved up to $571 million in defense support for Taiwan on Dec. 20. The Defense Department also announced on Dec. 20 the approval of two military sales totaling $295 million. Chinese President Xi Jinping has repeatedly called for China to achieve “reunification” with Taiwan.
