An Amazon documentary centered on incoming first lady Melania Trump could cost as much as $40 million.
The film is set to give an “unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look” at Trump’s life, according to an Amazon statement.
The documentary is being executive produced by Trump and Fernando Sulichin while being directed by Brett Ratner, who has faced sexual harassment accusations but denied them, recently directed Georgetown, a political drama set in Washington, D.C.
Trump has not shied away from her own business ventures since her first term as first lady. In October, she released her memoir, Melania, which included personal stories and family photos.
The film’s reported cost comes as Amazon has cozied up to President-elect Donald Trump since his 2024 presidential election victory.
