The Continuing Resolution (CR) to continue government operations until the new Budget is officially adopted, contains a Section which would make Congressional E-mails off-limits to LEGAL PROCESS. Think “January 6 Committee . . . Crimes.”
Within the CR is a section that allows them to “quash or modify any legal process…if compliance with the legal process would require the disclosure of House data…
“House data = “any electronic mail or other electronic or data communication”
They’re also applying this section to any pending matters.
Basically if somebody was trying to subpoena emails of a member of congress because of a potential crime or something, this would allow them to quash such a subpoena.
