Sen.-elect Bernie Moreno (R-OH) underscored the “key difference” between President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and those of the current administration, stressing that Trump needs “his leadership team” confirmed by the Senate.
Ahead of the confirmation vote for Trump’s nominees, Moreno said he would “absolutely” support all of the nominations for Trump’s Cabinet, and issued a call for his fellow senators to “stay united” in the confirmation vote. When reflecting on President Joe Biden’s Cabinet and how it differs from Trump’s nominations, the incoming Ohio senator noted that despite Biden’s nominees being “objectively terrible” at their job, they never faced any true “accountability” for their actions.
